The new laws come into effect in November that any changes by the city will have to go before the voters rather than the city making the decision,and this is so we can oppose what they are trying to do.
The City Manager,Mayor and Commissioners are fervently busy trying to pass anything they can before the November deadline to restrict our rights to disapprove of their direction they are taking our city and the tax dollars they are spending like water in a paper bag. They are not making much sense except that they don't care and are mean spirited and don't care about the families and citizen who live here.
They keep spending and spending and we have seen them raise taxes and also raise the millage rate and for some residents on fixed incomes,retired residents it is quickly become unaffordable to live in the community that prided itself on a nice community of blue collar workers-an affordable place to live,grow up and retire in. You can now be criminalised for parking where you have parked for years in your yard,fined and towed.They passed laws to make residents pave or cement their driveways, they said we can't park more than two vehicles in our yards,keep passing consent agenda items that normal business scrutiny would oppose without letting us speak against them. This is what communism is about and what Dictators do by taking our rights to petition our Government and telling us to shut up and sit down as the Mayor loves to quash any rightfully so comments or questions to the commission. Lets stop the train and voice your opinion at a commission meeting,come on now, ignoring them will not stop them taxing us to death. Derail their attempts to rid us of Due Process. Rev. Jef
