"ON GOLDEN POND" PART2

Golden Pond is nothing more than dirty filthy water runoff from Seminola Blvd. a drainage ditch retention pond with land around it that cost Seminole Co. over $6,000 a year to maintain and now it is the tax payers of Casselberry's tax burden. Mr Miller a commissioner opposes the poorly planned park but yet said to turn the property into commercial development property. Commissioner Doehrner wants the city to give up on spending on this "PARK".Commissioner Solomon said that they have not spent any money on the Park, but last time I counted$170,000.00 isn't nothing. To make a statement that they haven't spent any money is factual untrue and as the dictionary defines as a LIE.They have spent money clearing the Land of its "NATURAL HABITAT" cutting trees and underbrush that should have stayed.HAVE TO MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY so the gullible public will believe them.They have been spending money,who paid for it being surveyed? Now, all of a sudden we have a tax burden over $6,000,money being secretively being spent and it is a drainage ditch. Mr Miller stated that if Habitat for Humanity would have built on the front parcel it would have change the fundamental character of the neighborhood,wouldn't commercial developmentdo just that? It would have been a great spot to show and build community unity and someone to have a home, it shows there is no compassion or charity in our city leaders.The laid off fire fighters can go there to ponder money well spent?
