"HIGHWAY TO HELL"

CASSELBERRY is going to start construction of the 436/Red Bug Lake Road Flyover.Why should this come to the publics attention?Glad you asked,this flyover is nothing that willbenifit our city in any way. In fact it has been putting many residents and businesses out of the city for good and turning our business district into a ghost town.How is this going to benifit the residents? It won't and it will raise our taxes by a large sum.The project has 75 million dollars to start,but the whole project will be $200-$500 million,do the math and guest who will be paying the difference in new taxes?Yes, us.
If a flyover was built everywhere traffic backs up there would be flyovers everywhere.The flyover is going to be a nightmare and gridlock to th entire city.The fundimental character of our city will be negatively changed forever,all because of a greedy Mayor and a commission that has put honesty, integrity and common sense far from the best needs of the city.
Apparently they never went down to the new Flyover at436/50 a few miles down the road to see that the mega structure will not benifit our city and will be a permenant "eyesore".All of the facts and figures have proven it wil not benifit us or actually change the traffic from backing up.What will be impossible, will to get around locally after this monster is built. If you have not already noticed the disappearance of the businesses andthe city unwillingness to "help"businesses by restricting sign postings?It also needs to be noted that the city has planned to allow 10 story buildings around our business districts, How is that going to keep the local fundimental characteristics of our rural neighborhoods in tact?It won't.Allowing denser building along Seminola Blvd with the town homes that look like Military barracks or college dorms is not keeping our city in the intent of land ownership and owning a home and neighborhoods butinstead has been how the city can squeeze every tax dollar so they can over tax and spend more money that the city has exploited and wasted.It seems greed is what rule our city by a mayor and commission with little to no brains or coomon sense or decency. Go look for yourself how many businesses have left? How many homes were torn down across from Sausolito shores?15-20What? More than that?Watch outyou wont be able to afford to live here but the mayor and commissioners who are property managers/realtors who do you think will benifit by their actions?You guessed it not us. Speak up and do something.
